MOST OUTSTANDING PRE-SCHOOL FRANCHISE AWARD PHILIPPINES 2008

In commemoration of the 28^th Annual Handog Kay Inay Mother’s Day celebrations in the Philippines, Smart Reader^® Worldwide was conferred the honour of being the Most Outstanding Pre-School Franchise at the 2008 Top Family Products & Service Awards (TFPSA) recently.

Acknowledged as “Asia’s Pioneer & Biggest Mother’s Day and Family Event” since 1980, the celebration cum award ceremony was jointly organised by the National Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Council and the Ideal Parents & Family Foundation (IPPF) in Quezon City, the Philippines.

Smart Reader^® Worldwide, the only award recipient from Malaysia, was bestowed the honour because of the organisation’s significant contribution to the well-being of Filipino families and consumers. ANOTHER RECORD ENDORSED BY THE MALAYSIA BOOK OF RECORDS

The recent staging of the Royal Charity Concert by 625 children of Smart Reader Kids^® centres throughout Malaysia has enabled the event to make its way into the Malaysia Book Of Records.

The certification, the fifth entry in the Malaysia Book Of Records, honoured the management of Smart Reader^® Worldwide for the Most Number of Children Performing in a Charity Concert. Founder and Managing Director of MBOR, Datuk Danny Ooi presented the award to Chief Executive Officer, Dr Richard Ong and Group Executive Director, Dr K H Wang at a ceremony at Wisma Smart Reader® recently.

The concert was jointly organised by Smart Reader^® Worldwide and Smart Reader Kids^® centres nationwide to raise funds in aid of the Yayasan DiRaja Sultan Mizan for the needy and underprivileged. The concert titled, Konsert Amal Yayasan DiRaja Sultan Mizan, was witnessed by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin.

Malaysian Franchise Association Awards 2007

Malam Anugerah Francais 2007, organised by Malaysian Franchise Association (MFA) was held at Berjaya Times Square Hotel and Convention Centre on November 12^th, 2007. The awards ceremony was graced by YAB Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak, the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, together with YBhg Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir, Chairman of MFA.

SME Recognition Award 2007

Organised by the SMI Association of Malaysia, SME Recognition Award 2007 was held at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre, Bandar Sunway. The award ceremony was graced by YB Datuk Maximus Ongkili, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department.

1st Education Franchisor to achieve ISO 9001:2000 Certification

The Malaysia Book of Records has attested to Smart Reader^® Worldwide being the First Education Franchisor to achieve ISO 9001:2000 certification. The organisation was awarded with the certification in March 2006 by SGS (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. This certification has certainly placed Smart Reader^® Worldwide in a league of its own. “The Award came in timely with our move to expand further into the international arena. SMART READER^® AWARDED “LARGEST CHAIN OF CHILD ENRICHMENT CENTRES"

Smart Reader Kids^® - a name synonymous with quality pre-school education, made history recently by being awarded the “Largest Chain of Child Enrichment Centers” in the country by the Malaysia Book of Records. The record was given based on the hundred-and thirty-seven (137) centres throughout the peninsula and East Malaysia.

According to Dr. K.H. Wang, Executive Director of Smart Reader^® Worldwide Sdn. Bhd. , this proclaimed Largest Chain of Child Enrichment Centres in Malaysia contributes an annual income of more than 25 million ringgit to the national economy and job opportunities for more than 1,000 employees nationally.

This was said at the award ceremony that was graced by Dato' Seri Rosmah Mansor, wife of the Deputy Prime Minister, at the Securities Commission Auditorium, Kuala Lumpur, recently.
