An All Rounded Education Is Essential

All parents have high hopes for their children; they want to give their children the experiences that they did not have when they (the parents) were young. Today, there are many opportunities available to expose your children to the best. For most parents, the top of the list is education. As good education opens the door to many hidden treasures that are out there. There are parents who want to give their children all but don’t know where to start.

Enroling your child in a good pre-school is a good place to start. Pre-school education is very important for a child. Early childhood education is crucial as it lays the foundation of perception for the child; the perception of what schooling is all about. Equipping your child with good education is priceless, as it will pave the way for a fruitful and complete life.

“ Having a good education is an important asset for any individual,” explains Ms.Naseema..M,” principal of Smart Reader Kids SS19, Subang Jaya.

Smart Reader Kids® ensures that a child receives a comprehensive education. “Smart Reader Kids® provides an all-rounded education, we ensure that a child is exposed to many different aspects of education,” explains Naseema.

For instance for Nicole De Rozario, painting and being involved in creative work is inspiring. Nicole, six years, loves drawing and enjoys expressing herself with colour pencils and watercolours.

“ It is important for children to be able to express themselves” states Mr. Horst Fischer, Nicole’s stepfather and guardian. “I do not force her to do anything she does not want to do, I believe that children must be brought-up to be able to think for themselves, have their own mind and be independent,” explains Mr. Fischer. This is why, Mr. Fischer explains that it is important what kind of pre-school a child goes to.

“It is important for the school to nurture the children to be independent thinkers,” he believes.

According to Mr. Fischer, the reason he is very happy with Smart Reader Kids® is because he has seen a lot of difference in Nicole, she is more independent and confident after attending Smart Reader Kids®.

Naseema explains that Smart Reader Kids® encourages students to try many different things. She also explained that Smart Reader Kids® organises many events that will expose them and help build up their confidence. For example, the annual ‘Talent Search’ and Smart Reader Kid of The Year’ competitions help the children be comfortable in front of crowds and showcase their talents.

“Nicole chose her own school, we visited many schools in the area but she was not happy. When we visited the Smart Reader Kids® centre in SS 19 Subang Jaya, she immediately agreed to attend the programme there” Mr. Fischer states.

“Nicole chose her own school, we visited many schools in the area but she was not happy. When we visited the Smart Reader Kids® centre in SS 19 Subang Jaya, she immediately agreed to attend the programme there” “Nicole was a shy girl at first, I had to allow her to gradually fit herself into the school environment. She attended school only three days in the week at the beginning, within two weeks she was already comfortable and attended school regularly. Now she helps me a lot in the school. She is like a big sister to all the other students in the school” Naseema proudly states.

Mr. Fischer is happy with the Smart Reader Kids® programme because after attending Smart Reader Kids® Nicole has developed the interest in reading and story telling. “She can conjure up a story by just looking at something and usually it is a very interesting story and these days I cannot pass a bookstore with her around, she will want to enter as she loves books.” ” he smiles.

Mr. Fischer feels that the Smart Reader® Creative Teaching Methodology plays an important role in helping the children relate to what is being taught. “Children get bored easily therefore, a little creativity during classes will go a long way,” says Mr. Fischer.

Mr. Fischer concluded the interview by saying that children must be allowed to be themselves and be able to enjoy their childhood years as well as gaining a good foundation in education.
