
JULY 15th, 2010: With the realisation that that branding has become a National Agenda, a policy decision was made by the Government to introduce an integrated approach to branding among Malaysian Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), as SMEs are seen as an important catalyst for growth of the nation.
Smart Reader® Worldwide was recently bestowed with the National Mark of Malaysian Brand by His Royal Highness Raja Nazrin Shah Ibni Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah, the Regent of Perak Darul Ridzuan. The auspicious ceremony was held in conjunction with the Branding Entrepreneurs Conference 2010 held at the Palace of the Golden Horses. The prestigious National Mark award was received by Dr Richard Ong, Chief Executive Officer of Smart Reader® Worldwide.
After an audit and assessment exercise for best management practices, Smart Reader® Worldwide was presented the award based on the quality and standards of its products and services, operation management, brand management, marketing, financial capability, management commitment, and corporate social responsibility. With the National Mark of Malaysian Brands, Smart Reader® Worldwide’s presence in the local and international market will be made more prominent, thus creating a multitude of opportunities for global expansion.
